Teaching is a very popular profession; however, recently there has been a shortage around the world. There could be many reasons for this but people are entering different industries such as the business world.
Teaching means you can help people develop their knowledge on a daily basis and help them improve. You may get to know the students that you teach and learn what their individual strengths and weaknesses are and how they can be developed. It is a very rewarding career watching your students learn what you personally are teaching them. Another great advantage of teaching is that you receive the same amount of holidays as the students which is great time to relax and unwind.
If any of the above reasons appeal to you then maybe you should consider being a teacher. There are many private school teaching positions that you could apply for. For example you could teach classes in nursery schools, primary schools and secondary schools. You can also apply to work in colleges or universities but this will require more training. This is because students are choosing to extend their study by achieving a degree, therefore they want to learn. They need to learn what will come up in exams and receive sufficient information and help regarding assignments and work. This is a very important time which means more teaching experience is required in order to teach the students successfully.
Private school teacher salaries will obviously differ depending on the teaching role. For example, lecturers will get a different sum of money than those teaching at a nursery level.
It has to be noted that teachers do not receive a big salary. Yes it is comfortable to live on but it's not exceptionally high especially compared with other professions. However, you would receive a lot of benefits such as health benefits and insurance and as stated earlier long holidays which is a great bonus. There are so many benefits which haven't even been mentioned and it is a rewarding career, so why not give teaching a go, you may be surprised how much you enjoy it!
