Associations
By choosing to work in the teaching profession, you will be able to access a lot of teaching associations. An association could be defined as a group of people who come together for a certain purpose. So if there was a teaching association then teachers could get together and meet about specific issues and resolve them. Teachers could possibly talk about the following things, classes, subjects or facilities used in the school. Teachers may even discuss current problems in their classes and they maybe able to receive help and advice from other teachers about how to resolve it.
There can also be associations for the students to join. This is a great way for students to socialise and to meet other people. Students can meet on a regular basis, normally once a week and it can be something to look forward to when not doing academic work.
The common interest for the association could be anything from hobbies to important matters related to the schools. If there is something that needs to be talked about for example a case of bullying, then students can meet somewhere and talk about the issue and what can be done. A teacher may also have to present to witness the discussion and be able to help on behalf of the school. If there are associations which are related to hobbies, then a teacher may not have to be present and students can be left alone. The rules about associations may differ from school to school and this should be taken into consideration.
Associations relating to hobbies could range from anything from singing to basketball but the next thing to decide is where to meet. Students will have to arrange for a room that they can use and this will have to be arranged with a teacher. Depending on the availability students may be able to use the same room on a regular basis or they may have to change every week.
Both teachers and students can enjoy the opportunities of joining an association as it is a great social point. As well as socialising, both teachers and students can take advantage of learning something new or by helping a cause.
